east side x south west

Thought this whole event was pretty cool because I managed to bring together my friends from the east side of houston with my friends from the south west side of houston.
The mission was one big project.... whats important is there was this "team" working to try and achieve a goal.  Everyone was contributing their skill/hobby/passion to achieve something bigger then any individual.
Jaquory and Casron are from the east side of Houston and have the experience behind the camera to create something worthy of serious attention.
Jacob and Brandon are from the south west and make the entire concept of a photo shoot so simple and easy without lacking in quality production

check out the random photos i took saturday night

Find Your Wings... Break

We had driven a lot that night and both Jacob and Brandon had controlled the aux for most of the night… meaning we had listened to an assortment of music from Travis Scott to the Sauce Twinz with a lot of Young Thug.
After I dropped Jacob off, I had the aux and played what I think is the best song of 2015.
Find Your Wings by Tyler The Creator

It was awesome.  The first minute and eleven seconds of vibes was chill, couldn’t even really tell if Brandon was even listening to the song BUT THEN the break happened. tu tu tu…. tu tu tu….. tu tu tu… tu tu tu BOOM! I looked over at Brandon and swear he was looking at the radio with this expression of pure “what the fuck did I just hear”
I grew up listening to all kinds of rock with my dad, he’s always been so fascinated with what it is the drummer brings to songs.  It was during the days of binge hearing Kings of Leon CD’s when he’d drive me to like the sixth grade that he educated me on what it is a “break” is.  Hope I’m not wrong but shout out to Tyler for modernizing what I think is a classic essence of music from past generations of music.

below video is for those who aren't familiar with the song already

is it me or this version sound a little different then the one that's really on the album

to help you formulate more of an idea watch the video below.... I always think of that video when I think of a "break" for two reasons
1) it's badass
2) the tittle is "brutal breakdown"

You read the title right a Tyler and Vince interview.  Stop being childish.....
It starts off as just a Vince Staples interview who does have an album dropping in some days.  I think the most interesting part was when the topic of conversation was the music that was made in the "Mac Miller house era"
My favorite part is when rosenburg mentions how he brought out Vince and Earl at SXSW show as a surprise...... because i was there.  witness
When Tyler comes in the conversation becomes.... nostalgic, with brief words on the house that is the birthplace of both of their careers.
Starting to fucking hate Peter Rosenburg.... I obviously don't know him and have opinions formulated off of non real interactions but he just seems like he's trying really hard to be apart of what he thinks the kids think is cool.... in other words I see a snake
I'm probably wrong...

not tv

This came out a couple days ago
i really want to hear some new isaiah rashad... i feel like TDE just has him waiting.... waiting for who knows what
Salute to Jay Rock though

Now i was kind of wishy washy about posting this video not because I have a problem with Big Sean or Kanye... the problem lies in the fact that the song was promoted to feature TRAVIS SCOTT.
I know for a fact he was just in the studio or considered to be a feature just cause he says "Straight Up"
IT IS MY THEORY that there is a Travis Scott verse to this song and the world is being deprived of hearing it.
I just saw Travis Scott a couple of days at ScoreMore's Jambalaya festival and he played the song smurking... right after the first straight up the song witched to Don't Play and the RAGE FEST was on.  I would think maybe if he produced it I could see why La Flame would be attached to the song rap genius says he had nothing to do with production.
LOOK THERE IS AN UNRELEASED VERSE OUT THERE I KNOW IT

Casron #2

This is what Casron sent me today.
FIRE as usual.  I've definitely heard of Pouya before but never had an image to match with the name before this..... unexpected.  Dude looks like someone you'd see at a Flatbush Zombies concert but don't get me wrong the song goes hard.
"Like a fat hoe, I do not fuck with"

Carrots

I always knew Anwar Carrots as a creative part of the peas and carrots collective that was pretty much the brand behind Casey Veggies.  They had/have a store on fairfax.... I know for a fact Arian Foster supported the movement and had shopped at the store.  All that is irrelevant and I don't have any facts to have the right to say anything on Anwars status with Mr CV and PNCINTL although my gut has got me jumping to negative conclusions.... but maybe thats just apart of living and growing.

HERES WHAT MATTERS
Anwar Carrots has created a "Menswear Label" that is... self-titled.
After all of his work with the PNC brand it is safe to say Anwar deserves to be doing something of this caliber AND the youth definitely deserves to not only be inspired by the art that is to be admired here but also the blessing that is fresh clothing.
Check out some shots from his site anwarcarrots.com

Let me introduce you the capsule of clothing by first showing you three shots of the piece that I have found to be my favorite.

Orange is a no-brainer in this situation.... carrots.
The first thing that caught my eye was the lettering all the way around the hood and the go hard font.
Once I got into the details I was in complete shock on how something so bold and grimey could be complemented with such an innocent message.... and it be so fresh; almost as if Anwar himself had walked through a garden of clothes and pulled the piece out of the ground composed of culture, positivity, and creativity.
To top it off its a champion hoodie so you know you're getting quality material.

take a peak at the rest of the collection below and don't be afraid to visit anwarcarrots.com and cop the piece you like
